Yada Akiko (矢田亜希子) is pretty. She actually a favourite of one of my best friends here in Japan but to be brutally honest I don’t think she can act. I find her expressions wooden and I can’t empathise with any of her characters.

Itoh Misaki (伊東美咲) started out as a model and is another j-drama favourite. Appearing in Densha Otoko, You’re Under Arrest and currently in Kiken na Aneki, she has very typical Japanese looks. She has even appeared in a game, James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing.

This ad appeared quite a while back but it is one of my favourites. It is actually the first of a series the girls that appear in this ad, appear in separate ads in the series. The girls are (left to right) Ishihara Satomi (石原さとみ), Shibasaki Kou (柴咲コウ), Nakama Yukie (仲間由紀恵) and Matsuura Aya (松浦亜弥).

Star of the recent Japanese drama Fukigen na Jiin, Takeuchi Yuko (竹内結子) not only looks good but is also a great actress too. She has great “girl next door” looks that makes her popular with advertisers.

Takenouchi Yutaka (竹野内豊) is in this advertisment for a fujifilm finepix camera. He’s starred in many a drama but also does a few commercials too.

Dashi is Japanese stock and in this ad it features both Tanaka Rena (田中麗奈) and Kirin Kiki (樹木希林). While Tanaka Rena is the prettier of the two, Kirin Kiki is a popular and well respected actress in Japan.

This is a spoof on the popular Power Rangers. They have a few CMs and they are usually extremely funny. The Amino Supli drink is a sports/isotonic drink and instead of using perfect athletic models they use well… just watch the ad.
