BoA - Calpis Drink

Filed under: Ads — Ian @ 1:00 pm

This advert features BoA who is actually Korean. She is popular both in Korea and Japan and can sing in Japanese, Korean and English. Recently she has had a bit of an image change away from the cute (like in this ad) to a more mature and beautiful look. Some might say not an entirely successful image change though.

Filed under: Ads — Ian @ 9:10 am

This is from last winter (Christmas day in fact!) and is for Kirin (hot) Green Tea. Matsushima Nanako (松嶋菜々子) is a hugely popular actress for advertisements. Recently pushed off the number one spot for CMs by Ueto Aya but still can command around 10 million yen per advertisement!

Ueto Aya (上戸彩) is the current queen of CMs in Japan, and it is not hard to see why. Here she appears in a really cute panda suit for Dr. Japan Insurance.
