Don’t mention the score. *lahlahlah i can’t hear you* Another ad with the almost too cute Ueto Aya (上戸彩) this time selling DVDR media from Fujifilm.
Morning Musume must be one of the most marketable J-pop groups in Japan, especially with all the spin-off mini groups. Here they are helping sell Epson printers. The big marketing push for inkjet printers happens around December because every year Japanese send Nengajo. Nengajo are New Year postcards and recently a large chunk of the population have taken to printing them out at home (Including yours truly ) , hence the marketing push.
Shibasaki Kou who appeared in the Pocky ad, is in this ad for Toyota’s Runx. The single word she speaks is “usotsuki” meaning liar. “Liar liar pants on fire…”
This in my opinion is kind of a strange ad. It is for Caloriemate (Jelly?) drink. Abe Natsumi, formerly of Morning Musume, appears in it but her appearance feels more like a cameo.
Ayaya is a busy girl, but she still finds time in her schedule for PuyoPuyo Fever, an immensely popular puzzle game. Interesting tidbit, Puyo Puyo Fever was the last game released by Sega for its Dreamcast system.
Here’s an ad for Macha (a type of green tea) Flavoured Melty Kiss, a popular chocolate in Japan. Apt because today is St. Valentine’s Day where girls give chocolates to guys.
White Day, next month, is where guys return the wrappers thought and give chocolates or other sweets to girls.
BTW I’m not sure who the girl in the advert is, anyone out there know? [Update: The girl in the ad is Aizawa Sayo. Thanks goes to Matt’s girlfriend]
